Liar … Liar … Liar

I’m such a big liar …. for not able to fulfill my own commitment to blogging. No decent excuse to defend my act … mahn, feeling so ugly right now.

I’d like to thank Erma and especially mba Eka for encouraging me to write … to overcome my blogger’s block. It’s like in award show … that I’ll dedicated the one-post-a-day-challenge in 30 days for Mba Erma and Mba Eka *ting ting ting ke Erma dan Eka*

Well, let’s get down to the business then … First, topic … yup, I really need that one. I had bunch of topics in my head but, at most time, it evaporated in “angkots”. FYI, I am a loyal user of angkot to back and forth between office and home. So, this is what come up today for the next 5 days …however, changes of topic is allowed ;)

  1. A day with Mutia Rahmi *owe this topic to her, my next-to-me sitting friend*
  2. Narcissistic *it is about me, right?*
  3. Getting “healthier”
  4. Spaghetti
  5. Today …

Well, let’s see what happened tomorrow …

And for Mba Eka … you’re right, it’s kinda difficult to write about myself. However, you’re right also that the challenge is a justification to be narcissistic …just me self ;) . Thank you for showing the light *lebay mode on … ting ting ting*

Following Erma’s Footstep

I’ve been reading Erma’s blog for as long as our friendship … can’t say that I don’t get addicted by her writing …so fluid and light.

I’ve been having trouble to write anything lately …despite knowingly well that I need to write to keep me grounded and sane.

So, by taking her method, I will try to write one post each day for one month. However, I’m clueless about the topics …not really sure about what things to say or write.

One thing for sure, I’ll write in any kind of language *at least two kinds* based on my mood. Well, I’m a mood-driven person …

I guess that’s my intro for the one month program … gotta figure out what to write tomorrow.

see ya ….

Conversation : A Corrupter and The Son

Son: Dad, I think corrupter can be categorized as the mother of devils …

Dad: Why so?

Son: Well, because of what the did, millions of people in this country can not have access to proper education and access to health care facilities. The money that supposedly for those needs, are used for these corrupters own interest or their families. I think they’re sins are unforgiven, dad.

Dad (smile and look straight at his son): How do you think I raised you?

The fear of having that conversation or perhaps already had such conversation stop us for making real actions, instead we nurture idealism only by words.

Sinetron Politik

Gw cuma heran aja … why Megawati githu lho? why?

Anyway, good luck for calon pasangan presiden RI 2009 … I sincerely hope your purpose is noble and genuine for the Indonesian people.

JavaJazz 2009

This year, I bought the three-days show ticket. Unfortunately, I couldn’t fully participate …thanks to my less perfect health. Still, this year event was awesome …

Another breakthrough for me …. I didn’t go there by myself this year. I mean, I was with my friends *even though it was only one person for each day :p*.

The most anticipated performance was Matt Bianco. They canceled last year performance … I also enjoyed Everette Harp *as much as last year* and the edgy-acid Soil and Pimp Session … also the unique Nita Aarsten featuring Michael Paulo. As for the local, I definitely enjoyed oldies groups, such as Chaseiro and Kla Project. For this year, I didn’t enjoy Maliq and the Essential as much as last year … I guess, it was because they performed late after midnight.

Matt Bianco’s music was party-mood tones. None who didn’t move … even though it was only nodding. Here’s a bit info from “Music Mags” about Matt Bianco: Matt Bianco’s songs can be heard in all clubs and party spaces during the end of the 1980′s. “Whose Side are You On?”, “Sneaking Out the Back Door”, “Half a Minute”, “Dancing in the Street” and “Don’t Blame it on the Girl”, were the obligatory songs, memorized by all. Then again, it was not the matter of memory, it was a matter of euphoria. From my side … unfortunately, their songs were not quite familiar in my ear *not as such as Earth, Wind and Fire*. Still, it was good to dance …

For the Pimp guys … for sure, I salute their skills in playing their stuffs. I mean, they were really good with their sax, drums and so on . The music was okay … but, it was really hard to understand their words when they tried to connect with the audience. Then Nita … Well, it was a superb blend of classical songs and jazz … with percussions and drums and sax.

The most memorable performance for this year was Kla Project. They made new arrangement of their famous songs … into Jazz. The sound was lovely … and for sure, I loved it cos I knew most of their songs :D . As for Chaseiro … I guess, it was the only stage that wasn’t fill by teenagers *for sure*.

Well, can’t wait for next year JavaJazz … the rumor was that the venue won’t be at JCC. Let’s see then …
